Bloodlust

Sweet, sprinkling scent of remorse
Calm me, soothe me, drain me
Facade of my dreams unveiled
Clad in deepest red

Did I not shout loud enough?
Did I not bleed fast enough?
Did my words falter before my lips?
Where they not ever spoken?

Now stone walls are hiding your flickering silhouette
And temptation creeping out of the corners
While your mind is busy elsewhere
Mine is tearing me apart

So rest in ignorance
Of the red tears i cry
Of the hunger swallowing me from the inside
Of the battle everlasting
You are tired, so rest…
