Scared Medusa

/Look at you!/
If you are rotten like me
With dead animals and laces tied in your hair
Scared Medusa
Walking down the street

/Look at me!/
If you dreamed like I do
You’d avoid looking too deep into their eyes, too
Monsters,
they gather around me, mouths gawking,
howling deep:
“Scared Medusa, do not weep
gentle is the Waking Sleep!”
