Sink or swallow

My teeth are aching and my mouth is full of hate
Water’s by my heels and rising
Another judgement, another bullet to digest
Water’s by my knees and rising

The problem with the abyss is that it’s unfathomable
Water’s by my waist and rising
The weight of my thoughts pulling me down
Water’s by my chest and rising

No use in counting down
I’ll always find a way to drown
So behold the truth unhallowed;
You either sink, or you swallow

A story about surviving.
